It ain't looking good for tonight, either. It feels like a hopeless endeavor. I'm waiting for dinner to finish up for the kids - spaghetti and meatballs, broccoli and grapes. It smells unappetizing to me, though. I tried a recipe for fish tacos for lunch. Subpar. I'll have to keep looking.
I got my new planner in the mail today and filled in all the birthdays. I feel very accomplished. Homework hour is going smoothly and quickly. I'm just so tired at the end of the day. And since I don't do much during the day, the only reason for that is GABE. He. Never. Shuts. Up. He talks constantly, and he requires a response after each phrase, and I am exhausted by it. Plus, he's in the "why" stage, and that is also tiring. "How old am I?" "Three." "Why?" "Because you came out of my tummy three years ago." "Why?" "Because that is when God sent you." "Why?" "You'll have to ask Him, honey." "Why?" Argh!!

I know how you feel about cleaning. That is why my laundry has been sitting in the basket (clean) for almost a week now...
I love Gabe!! He is hilarious but I definitely can see how it can be annoying too.
oh man. gabe0 is sooo funny. and gabeboy is funny to say three times fast.
oh we are in the heart of the "why" phase here and I have to resist giving insane answers like:
Grant stay with me in the store.
why?
so you won't get lost
why?
because mommy would be so sad
why?
because it would mean a big bad man took you to his nasty van and is stealing you from me and I'll be on Nancy Grace crying about how cute you are but that you just couldn't stand next to me in the store while I compared calories on cracker boxes.
we just pulled a truck load of wall paper off our wall last night and just left it where it was. don't you worry about it, it will still be there on tuesday night.
when my kids ask incessant questions and i can't handle it anymore, the get "quiet time." when they ask "why" i just tell them that it's time and that seems to work!
