It's storming outside, which is fine by me but the kids are irritable about staying cooped up. My seasonal allergies are in full swing regardless of medication, so I feel grumbly and itchy. And I read all my library books from Thursday already.
So, the kids are bickering and fussing. I am loathe to haul them out in the car during this weather. Lucky for me, my fancy new Kitchenaid has butter softening in the bowl for cookies. That is good for 3 batches of happiness. After that I don't know what we'll do. Maybe Movie-A-Day should be on the menu. Of course, that sounds like loads of fighting about movie choice, but we'll see. They haven't watched The Princess and the Frog in awhile, and they really like that one.
Of course, if I send them upstairs to play (or clean), then I can watch tv. And since I don't have a book, that sounds like my preference. We'll see what happens.
In other news, I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday, as usual :) I went to the beach with my family on Saturday, and it was so beautiful. Plus, I had hush puppies at lunch, and I LOVE hush puppies! Liz made a cookie cake for me and Ethan to share since his birthday is only 2 days after mine. It was delish. And Ethan is always so sweet about sharing.
Okay, that's it.

Glad you had a good birthday! The beach is so fun. And yes, this weather blows.
Happy Birthday!!!! It sounds like it was so much fun! Love the beach.
I had the stomach flu for 5 days during spring break. We had made all these plans - All had to be canceled! The kids literally ran wild while I lay in bed. I felt bad, but Gary said they probably had the best spring break ever! They ate what ever, when ever, watched what ever they wanted, and made whatever messes they wanted. There were a couple of times I would hear the hose and look outside only to see them spraying everything with it. I was so sick I just went right back to bed!
