Since we had an unscheduled week out of town, I am beginning to freak out about upcoming events. I still have to register Claire for kinder, which requires the location of all kinds of ridiculous and important documents. I'm surprised they don't ask for the pregnancy test. Here's the actual, factual list:
Birth certificate
Social security card
Immunization record (they've just added new shots, so crap.)
Deed, lease or mortgage agreement
Current utility bill
Texas drivers license
See what I mean?
So, I'm currently postponing all planning and looking for a way to escape the house.

Hey, I slept the afternoon away trying to avoid stuff, too. Problem with that is that the stuff is still there when you wake up! Ugh...

So what do you do if you move into a house in late August and don't have a utility bill? Do your kids have to stay home from school until you get a bill?

She has to have a TX drivers license in order to get into kindergarten? You Texans sure are evolved; I didn't even get my permit until I was in HS. (wink!)
I wonder how illegals can register for school in Texas? They have no SS card and usually no driver's license...maybe they are trying to keep those kiddos out!
