I hate it when my kids are sick. It is so pitiful, and the parents get so wiped out.
I always want to go on a clean-and-disinfect spree. Alas, I am usually too tired to do more than Lysol the entire joint and wash bedding. I'm discouraged, though, because Claire came down with it Thursday night, and I Lysoled the samhill out of this place. Now Claire has it again (or is there just a two day lapse in puking in the middle?), and Gabe has it, and Charlotte was up all sunbeams at midnight holding puke bowls for us. It was a Blue's Clues Vomit Party in the living room - whole family invited.
Fortunately, as of this typing, Andy, Charlotte and I haven't got it. Gabe's zonked in my bed. He wakes up really pissed every so often cranking at us to give him a sippy cup, but he falls right back to sleep after saying it. He's only had a little gatorade with water. Claire has had crackers. I have had enough.
Back to bed. Gabe's weekly stay of execution is based in no small part to how angelic and cuddly he is when unconcious. Hey, maybe knocking him unconcious once in a while...

Sorry about the vomit party. Hope the rest of you stay vomit free.
Pukefest 2009 stinks. So sad when the kiddos are sick. What can I do to help?
I hate when kiddos are sick. It is awful!!!! I think what's even worse though is when the kids get better and then mom gets sick and has to take care of a bunch of kids who are hyper because they are finally feeling better.
Aww I am so so sad that you guys are sick. I do know how you feel about your lysol too ;) Hope you guys get lots of rest and start feel better soon. Love you
That totally stinks - i am so sorry! I hope things get better for you. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help!
On the bright side - sometimes a lethargic kid is a nice change. :)
hope everyone gets better soon!
oh no! The swine flu got you!
Hope everyone feels better really soon!
i'm really sorry. i know that puking and/or feeling like puking is one of the worst feelings in the world. hope the healthy ones stay healthy and the sickos stop it...soon!
I sent you my thoughts on vomit yesterday...or was it the day before? No one is barfing over here any longer but I still have two locked bathrooms to unlock and sterilize today! One question, how does the three year old manage to make it to the toilet, shower or sink to vomit whilst the thirteen year old makes it to the carpet, bed and middle of the living room!?!? Serious sanitation going on over here!! I now feel guilty for lecturing my thirteen year old on vomiting strategy and etiquette....but REALLY!
No, the bathrooms were NOT locked when the said thirteen year old barfed everywhere but IN the bathroom area!
