It's 4:55 am, and I swear if feels like 12:45 am.

I was up with Andy making valentines for the kids, and time flies when construction paper and glue sticks are involved. He went to bed a good long while ago. He came up with an idea that was cute, creative, and personalized, executed it, and was done. In the amount of time it took him to do all 3 valentines, I had finished one. I require a lot of sit time b/c I don't come up with cutesy crafty things very often or easily. And then I'm besieged by concern that they are not all fair and equal amongst the three kids. This is big with me. I count the pieces of candy that go into the stockings.

Now the valentines are all set out on the table, I actually swept up the paper mess and put away the supplies, and I am bored. This is because if I get in bed, I will want to read, but I'll feel guilty for reading when I ought to be sleeping, so I am staying up. I'm logical like that.

The demon boy wears underwear now. Crazy. Potty training always seems like a fluke for a few weeks before I realize that they are actually not going to wear diapers forever. Actually, this will be the first time in 7 years that I don't buy diapers anymore. I always had at least one in diapers since Charlotte was born. Call me crazy, but I feel sad about it.

I just sat here with my fingers on the keys for 4 minutes without typing anything. Here's a picture of Toady Gabe, Sarah. Goodnight, y'all.

Lovin' that A-dorable picture of Gabe!

Y'all are so loving to stay up late to make your kids their valentines :) I just made heart shaped eggs for breakfast.

All I did was give my kids candy, which they ate for breakfast! Great parenting moment! I think it's so funny that you feel guilty about not sleeping. I love that picture of Gabe.

I dread the sleeping/anxiety of not sleeping every night. It has a lot with not wanting to wake up and start over again tomorrow.
