I like rain

But my kids are getting stir crazy since it has been raining forever. I just read all day. It is loverly.

I ate a crap-load of sugar over the weekend and found that I sleep like the dead and am groggy when I wake up. What a drug. I reform.

Ants in the cupboards. Terminix won't get here for almost another week. It may be free between quarterlies, but you pay in the long wait for an extra appointment.

June was so dang busy that I feel like I'm hiding out and skipping stuff since the calendar is so much emptier now. It's good, the way I feel like summer should be. Lazy.

I am anxiously awaiting the 3rd book in the Hunger Games series. Love them. Am haunted by them. I find myself holding internal dialogues about the books at random times of the day and night. I'm just so intrigued by the psychology - how fundamentally different childhood is with the knowledge that you may very well kill and/or be killed during your youth. If you are looking for a review, all I have to say is the heroine bugs me almost as much as Bella, but not quite, but I love the writing and the other characters. I don't often await the release of a book with such anticipation. It's fun and frustrating. I heard a rumor they are making a movie? I don't know how I feel about that. I just hate it when a great book is crippled by a lackluster movie.

The kids are waiting for lunch, and I just realized I haven't eaten yet today. Or gotten dressed. Just reading in bed like I live the high-life. Awesome.

Yay yay yay! I am so glad that you finally read the books! I told you they were good :) I think the thing that bothers me the most about the heroine is that she can't make up her mind! Pick a dang dude already and stop stringing them on! And yes, they are making a movie. I wonder how they are going to rate it?!?

I'm coming home this weekend for Jen's party. Hope to see you guys!! Love you!

I am obsessed with Peeta. Love him. Hate the other one... which is odd because usually I prefer the brownies, and Gale is described as darker/olive tone. hmmm. I can't wait for book #3 either!!! I pre-ordered it from Amazon so I should get it a day or two after it comes out. Hope I can wait that long!!!

I just read that book last week. Interesting stuff. I can't bring myself to reading the next one though so could you please send me an email and tell me what happens? :-) that's my lazy way of finding out.
Oh, and I dislike Bella too, both the paper and screen versions.

Bella is too soft! I like strong heroines. I just feel like she is so weak. She kind of lets life happen to her. She bugs. I'll have to try out these books. Does it have a lot of sex or violence?

Nat - the Hunger Games is for young adults, so it is clean. Well, it's violent, because it is about a game where kids kill each other, but not like adult novels. I recommended it to my nieces and nephews. You'll love it.
