Argh! Why isn't it ever easy?!

We tried to put up the door today. Yeah, tried. Had to reposition the track at the top of the doorway. Okay (I hate taking things down and redoing them. Andy did it, though.) Then one side of the door shows the ugly wheels that slide it back and forth. So we had to take it down again to face them in toward the office and not out to the foyer. Not that we ever use the front door. And the sliding doors don't slide all the way to the sides of the opening because of the baseboard. And then, finally, the door hangs too high from the floor. They gauged it's length based on the assumption that there would be flooring. You know, carpet, tile, wood. We have the concrete slab. So, down came the door. I have to wait until we get flooring. There is SO much ahead of that in the budget line. And this is why I never do stuff to the house. Too discouraging.

Very frustrating. I'm sorry your efforts to create a serene office space have not come to fruition yet. Is there anything I can help you with at your house? I love working on projects with people. :)

Sorry Jen. If you get ready to paint or even just rearrange, I'm here to help. My talents don't extend much further than that! But I can always take you to the store for a treat or a magazine if that helps take the edge off of life and it's crappiness!

i hear yeah. all i tried to do was put posters up in the kids toy room. put them on crooked twice then they ripped. so after tape and more repositioning i quit. travis fixed it. but it still was annoying.

I feel your pain. There is so much I want to do to our house, but we don't have the skills to do it ourself, or the money to hire someone to do it! I agree it's discouraging.

Stupid houses!!

Ugh, I'm sorry, that is discouraging. I know you were looking forward to having your door up. I will also be up for helping with any project you'd like, I know the floor is the hold up, but I'm there for whatever you need (refreshments included ;)

I know how you feel. Life can be really crappy sometimes, especially when it comes to doing something to your house and you have to do it over and over again and it still doesn't work. I've been there many times.
