I went to the mall.

I don't do that, normally. It's not a stance I've taken or anything; I just hate shopping and when I shop it isn't at the mall. But it had to be done. I had to get something for the kiddos to wear in our family portrait coming up. And I did, just so you know. Cute stuff, cheap prices.

The reason I'm even talking about it is because I took Claire and Gabe. Four year old girl. Two year old boy. They were so good. Yep! My kids are mostly very well behaved (outside the house), and I was so pleased with them and, frankly, with myself.

I didn't even rent a double-bus stroller until more than 2 hours into the trip! We hit three children's stores to do recon. Returned to the best deal and purchased it. Ate lunch in the food court. Then, as we were heading to a department store to finish up the girls' outfits, Gabe caught sight of the stroller "depot." Which takes cash. Looky there! An ATM right next to it! Clever, aren't they? It takes five dollars, not twenty, so off to get change. But get it we did, and were able to finish up shopping and even get my eyebrows threaded as well. Gabe just sat on my lap and looked at us with a bit of shock and, dare I say it, disapproval on his face.

And I even stuck a good deed into the whole thing. We gave over the stroller to a lady who was coming in as we were going out of the mall. It was all really fun. For shopping.

Right now I'm up waiting for Charlotte to either throw up or go to sleep. She's wimpering on the couch. It always makes a mom feel sad.

Sounds like a most successful trip to me. That eyebrow threading makes my mouth fall open everytime I walk by and see someone getting it done. It's amazing. What a talent! I hope Charlotte was able to sleep, I feel for her.. I had a little somethin' somethin' for a day and half and it was no fun.

Jake just got over a stomach bug that was horrible. I hope that's not what Charlotte has.

So sorry about Charlotte--there's definitely something "not so fun" going around.

And kudos to you for having a wonderful day with your littles. Sometimes we get a tiny miracle like that and it makes us so happy. :)

What the heck is eyebrow threading? (You can so tell I am in to the glamour scene).
