Punchinello

Thank you, Rachel, for reminding me about little Punchinello. If you haven't read it, it's by Max Lucado. Stickers for the nonconformists.

Well, I never really think much about the stickers because, well, I basically never feel like I compare myself much to others (or care what others think about me). However, as I was reading Rachel's blog, I realized that I stick the stickers on myself. I feel inadequate and stupid and incompetent and all those things, so I just stick stickers all over myself so I cannot forget that I'm failing in all these areas.

But, just like Max Lucado says, the Creator does NOT make mistakes. He's been trying to remind me of this lately, and I'm really trying to get it. I'm slow (oops! another sticker!). I mean, I am receiving lots of hints and reminders to encourage me to accept myself as I am. No. Really. As I ACTUALLY am.

HOWEVER, if my mom or Jared read this, I am NOT accepting that my belly is cute. That's utter nonsense.

I think that we all give ourselves stickers every day. I think the important thing to remember is to let them be scrubbed off during the sacrament each week.

I have loved hooking up with you on goodreads and just found your blog too! I have missed you!
