Random

I'm writing this post immediately after the last post, but I can't get this crap out of my mind in order to go to sleep. But I'm setting the timer to post it some other time because I just posted. Dumb. And kinda funny, I guess.

  • When waiting for a page to load, I try to position my mouse where I think a button or link will be on that page. I'm usually very close. I feel proud of that, like it is a valuable contribution to society. Anyone else?
  • Where are all my pens? I keep buying them and they keep disappearing! My kids are like squirrels - they hoard things up in tiny places. So, where are they?
  • Are there any delinquent teenagers on my block who stare in at me while I blog at night? I mean, I'm right here in front of the big window facing the street. And if there are, do they think I am pitiful while I play Digby's Donuts?
  • Evidenced by the real housewives of New York, the fountain of youth is found in a nanny and a chef and an almost inexhaustible income and a maid. Poor Ponce de Leon.
  • I really liked learning about Ponce de Leon in school. I don't know why Cabeza de Vaca didn't make the cut. And screw Lewis and Clark.
  • I will worry all night that I misspelled a word on somebody's blog.
  • Will being hungry keep me up? I always choose sleep over food. But it is keeping me up now. Will I think about it all night? Shouldn't I just eat? Argh.
  • Maybe I should reschedule the dentist since the kids are still up. And me. I hate rescheduling. Will they have a meltdown? I hate appointments.
  • Oh crap, I forgot to do my timesheets. Damn! I can't keep forgetting! Do I have any blank ones?
  • Ask Andy to pay the bills this month. I just can't. Hey Andy, pay the bills!
  • Is he asleep up there with Claire? No, I hear her talking. This is ridiculous.
  • I think there is a mosquito in the room.
  • Every time I close my eyes I see Digby's Donuts.
That's it. I hope nothing else pops into my head so I can sleep for a whole six hours. And I've gotta eat something. Cereal or peanut butter?

When the questions arises whether to sleep or eat, if you even have to ask the question, just eat. And I usually go for cereal--frosted shredded wheat or cinnamon life.

I also hate to misspell words.

PENS! I love pens. I like to buy them and I also like to receive them for free. All different varieties. I prefer blue over black and also fine point, but only if I am working with a pad of paper; if no pad of paper is available then I'll make do with a medium. Some wives would scoff at an unromantic pen set for Christmas--to me that is the perfect stocking stuffer.

I do the mouse positioning thing! I was also just contemplating where all my pens went. I use the cheap kind and I like them ok, but Brian uses an expensive kind and he never loses his!! So where do all mine go??

I love this post.. I relate so much to your random thoughts. We have the same pen problem at our house, James likes to buy them by the dozen to try to keep up, but it doesn't work, then he's just ticked when he can't find a stinkin' pen anywhere! I worry about misspelling words, too.. drives me nuts.. oh, and if I realize that I did I have to go back and correct it, cuckoo, huh? How did the dentists appts. go?

I am very particular about my pens. I found a kind I like, and buy those for our "house pens". The kids have cheap pens they can bring to school - and they know better than to take my good pens! Always black, always fine point.

Where did you get your version of Digby's Donuts? Was it a free download, or did you buy a version? I have been playing a trial version, and it's addicting! I tried to download the free version, but it didn't work. I really want the whole game, and need your help to find it!

I always read my comments very carefully - I hate to misspell words!

Wow. It's amazing how much we have in common. My favorite pasttime (Oh no, how do you spell pastime?!?) is to worry over mistakes I've made all day: Misspellings, inappropriate comments, inappropriate gestures (tee hee hee), etc. I'm amazed people talk to me at all with all the stupid stuff I do every day. I am especially talented at positioning the mouse while waiting for the next page to load. I ROCK at that. And now I really want to play Digby's Donuts...but only if they serve Buttermilk Cake Donuts with Glaze!!

Peanut Butter on Cereal. I just ate 5000 calories worth of Taco Bell AND KFC and I think I might still be hungry. Nope, that is what FULL feels like!

Hahah I absolutely LOVED this post. You are so random and thats what I love about you!

1. I can only write in black pens. Doesn't matter how fancy, it has to be black.

2. I worry about people watching me through my windows too, especially my bathroom window (even though it is at the top of my shower on the second floor)

3. I could care less about misspelling words. I have always sucked at spelling.

4. Food comes way before sleep in my book, lol!

1. What do you mean screw Lewis and Clark? One of those guys had mental illness and killed himself. 2. I have a ton of pens but can't find any of my forks. I'm sure the kids just throw them right in the trash.
3. I position that circle that appears when my computer is loading over the faces of my kids on my screen saver. Sometimes Drew has a monocle or Luke has a nose ring or Ike has a pirate earring.

Well I just paid the mortgage. What else? Does anyone think mortgage is spelled wierd? It just doesn't look right.

Can I eat while sleeping..NOW that would rock.
OOOH..pens. I have "special" pens. They are ones that write awesome, and come in all sorts of pretty colors. They are NEVER supposed to leave my desk, unless it's by my hand. Yet, somehow...they're always missing.
I always worry if I've said something offensive to someone that I just talked to. It bugs me.
Digby's Doughnuts...What is that?

My vote is for cereal. I think it is the perfect late night snack. It is not too filling and it can be healthy too.

Also I have given up on trying to spell due to my disfunctional keyboard.

I hope you get some sleep.
