Seventh grade. Ugh ugh ugh. Nineties bangs.

Eighth grade. Yes, it got worse. The only reason my hair was that long was because I never bothered with getting it cut. Incidentally, that is all of my hair there on my shoulders; nothing hanging down the back. At least I finally got to wear eyeshadow. But, oh, the bangs.

Finally, ninth. High school. I never liked it. I have nothing nice to say about it. Now is a good time to mention that I'm in a foul mood, and that will surely be reflected in my post.
Mostly, I remember waiting at the teacher parking lot after school for mom to pick me and Sarah up. I was always cold. "I Saw the Light" by Brooks and Dunn was on the radio, and I loved it. I sang it a lot. I broke from my crowd in middle school this year. Hung with my friends at church and started theatre. Yes, I spell it the snobby way since I am a thespian.
The first play I auditioned for was Dracula. No, I didn't get a part, but I got to paint the big stones for the castle walls and use power tools to build sets. I loved it. I wonder if I should have gotten into it considering all the creepy influences, but I felt like I almost belonged there. Well, not my freshman year. Not until my senior year. I'm slow to warm up.
I wish I had more to say about these years. I don't remember much about them. The feelings I have are feeling like there was never enough light. Dark rooms, etc.

1. I am LOVING these pictures of you. It just blows me away how much charlotte looks like you.
2. Personally, I don't think your 90's bangs are bad. There is a lady in my ward who still totally does the 90 bangs. And BAD.
3. I didn't know you were in theatre. ;) That is actually one of the things I miss the most about high school.
So impressed you still have these pictures -- and I think I have one of these pictures from back when people traded those sorts of things.
We met in the 7th grade when my family moved into Sugar Land... I thought you were the coolest girl ever and I wanted to be just like you.
And if you want to recall 90s bangs... remember Cindy Felt's perfect upward rotated, curling-iron-shaped bangs divided in half by the downward-rotated curling-iron-shaped bangs? oh how I wanted those bangs but could never get them right.
I remember thinking how brave you were to be involved in Theatre in the 9th grade. I was too scared to get involved until late Sophomore year because of the initiation.
Anyway -- you were super cool way back in the day!
Jules, that is crazy. I was not in the cool zone. I totally remember the bangs, though. Crazy precise. Anyway, I always thought you were cool b/c you did sporty stuff. I felt like I was going to give myself away as a poser at your house when we bumped the volleyball around. How athletic were you! Remember when we went to the midnight opening of Batman?
Loving your pics and trip down memory lane - dang - there is no way I could remember the clothes I wore for photos in elementary school ... I'm old ...
I am totally enjoying your posts. As I didn't have the pleasure of knowing you in your youth I am loving this trip down memory lane. I think you have been beautiful in every single picture I've seen of you. I miss you lots.
also, I was in stage production in highschool. The drama kids didn't build the sets, we did and it was a blast. I think building was way more my thing then being on stage.
